Daniel McDonald / Solicitor & Director

Daniel has extensive experience in a wide range of property and corporate and commercial legal transactions.

In the corporate space, Daniel McDonald regularly advises and assists clients with mergers and acquisitions, corporate structuring, corporate compliance and governance, capital raisings and managed investment schemes. In the commercial space, Daniel assists clients with day-to-day legal issues affecting their business including supply arrangements, licensing arrangements, protection and commercialisation of intellectual property, distribution arrangements, consultancy arrangements, employment and contractor arrangements, terms and conditions and privacy and confidentiality issues.

Daniel also advises franchisor clients on compliance with the Franchising Code of conduct, preparation and negotiation of Franchise Agreements and Master Franchise Agreements and preparation of all related franchise documents, including all required and relevant disclosure documents.

In the Property Space, Daniel McDonald leads our property transaction team and often appears in the Supreme Court and County Court on matters concerning property disputes. Daniel provides advice on all aspects of property including sales and acquisitions of land, subdivisions, unit development, ‘off the plan’ sales and infrastructure agreements as well as often acting for landowners and developers in connection with development agreements including negotiating with existing and incoming financers, settling the form of the complex legal agreements and relevant associated documents and agreements.

Commercial & Family Law

Fiona Milnes /Solicitor & Director

Fiona practices predominantly in commercial/corporate law, insolvency, civil litigation and family law.

Fiona has extensive corporate experience and a background in health law which stems from her career in the commercial healthcare sector of over 15 years’.  Fiona’s global experience, a passion for law and a love of the commercial environment enables her to draw on her unique skill mix of science, business and law with various legal matters.

Fiona has an innate understanding of the commercial context in which client’s seek legal advice. A problem solver at heart, Fiona is committed to providing a positive experience and achieving best outcomes for her clients.


Outside of practice Fiona is a casual lecturer and tutor in the Juris Doctor program at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT). In her spare time, Fiona enjoys travelling, running and is currently learning French

Personal Injury & Medical Negligence

Dr. Tina Popa /Consulting Solicitor

Tina practices predominantly in personal injury and medical negligence matters.

Tina’s passion and interest in law stems from years working in the legal industry, including at Hymans Solicitors and Lampe Family Lawyers. Having worked with clients on sensitive matters, Tina is skilled at assisting clients to navigate the legal system in a respectful and supportive manner.

Tina’s expertise is in tort and medical law, complemented by her academic research in this field. Tina has completed a PhD exploring contemporary challenges in litigation and mediation of medical negligence and mental harm claims, and she has a particular interest in personal injury claims (including psychiatric harm) and compensation systems.

Tina’s research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and she has contributed to texts on tort law and medical law. Tina regularly presents her work at national and international academic conferences and has had visiting fellowships in medical law at international universities.

Outside of practice Tina maintains a position as a legal academic at RMIT University’s Graduate School of Business & Law. In her spare time, Tina enjoys fitness, travel and creative writing.

Property

Amanda Lew-Sang / Conveyancer

Amanda has over 15 years experience in the area of Residential and Commercial Conveyancing.  Amanda has a passion for Residential Conveyancing and enjoys the challenges a Conveyance can sometimes bring. Amanda has strong communication and problem solving skills and enjoys dealing with a variety of clients including first home owners, acting for both vendors and purchasers, investors both here and overseas.  Amanda has a high level of customer service skills to clients and is always willing to take the time to explain any queries a client may have in relation to their transaction.

Amanda has a particular eye for detail to ensure that the conveyancing transaction runs seamlessly for her client base.  Amanda always does her best to ensure that settlements are effected and ensure that my clients are always the number one priority. Amanda has a strong interest in the Duties Act 2000 in particular and particularly with respect to Off the Plan transactions.

 Amanda’s priority is to ensure that every client is provided with the best information to ensure that there transaction is worry free.
